Jeffrey Scott Connelly is a trial lawyer with deep roots in Georgia’s
legal community. As a third generation lawyer in his family, over the
years he witnessed first-hand the many way in which a lawyer can truly
make a difference in the life of an individual and, moreover, obtain justice
for a client at trial. Jury trial outcomes are the best litmus test for
the effectiveness of a lawyer advocating for a represented client.
After clerking for a prestigious criminal law firm in Atlanta throughout
law school, upon earning his law degree Jeffrey joined the Fulton County
District Attorney’s Office where he was an Assistant District Attorney
for three years. While there, Jeffrey represented the State of Georgia
in the Complex Trial Division, where he handled hundreds of serious violent
felonies ranging from Armed Robbery to Kidnapping. He was first chair
attorney on multiple jury trials, argued nearly every type of criminal
law hearing and motion, and amassed countless hours in the courtroom.
In 2015, he was awarded a “Clock Award” from Fulton County
District Attorney Paul L. Howard Jr., for securing a guilty on all counts
verdict returned in a mere 17 minutes. He was also voted by his peers
to be among the “Legal Elite” in Georgia Trend Magazine for 2015.
In early 2016, Jeffrey transitioned into civil law, joining Terry D. Jackson,
P.C. He is excited to bring his trial experience to the civil justice
system, where he will continue to fight for the rights of individuals
who have been wronged. Jeffrey, his wife, and young daughter are avid
outdoors people. While not working, they are likely out hiking and camping
somewhere in the wilderness.
