W. Winston Briggs is of counsel to Terry D. Jackson, P.C. and a trial lawyer with more than 25 years of trial experience. During his career, Winston has tried more than 150 jury trials to verdict, and while Winston shares our idea that most cases should resolve, he is equally committed to our view that trying cases is the only road to follow if the defendants and their insurers are not being fair to our clients. For the first 20 years of his career Winston was hired by large insurers to represent trucking companies and their drivers against injury and death claims arising out of trucking accidents. As a result, Winston became very familiar with the tricks and maneuvers big trucking companies and their insurance companies use to avoid paying claims or paying very little, and boxing inexperienced lawyers into a corner.

Now, Winston only represents individuals injured or killed in trucking accidents and their families and is dedicated to the 7th Amendment right to trial by jury. Mr. Briggs uses his knowledge and experience in defending trucking companies, the experts they routinely hire to blur the lines, and common tactics or tricks taught to defense lawyers defending trucking companies and their insurance companies to obtain big verdicts and bigger settlements for his represented clients.
