Terry D. Jackson, P.C. Sponsors 13th Annual GALEO Power Breakfast

Every year for the past 13 years, Terry D. Jackson, P.C. has been a proud sponsor of the annual GALEO Power Breakfast Fundraiser, one of the principle fundraising events for GALEO and the GALEO Latino Community Development fund. Working to increase civic engagement and leadership of the Latino/Hispanic community across the state, GALEO strives for a better Georgia in which the contributions and concerns of the Latino community are recognized.

Here are just some of the things this great organization has accomplished:

• Since August 2013, GALEO has registered over 12,640 new Americans to vote at naturalization ceremonies
• In 2010, GALEO launched the ¡Orale 10! campaign, one of the largest and most successful Latino voter registration efforts in Georgia
• In March 2010, GALEO was one of three groups that organized travel to the historic March on DC for immigration reform
• The GALEO Institute for Leadership (GIL) has graduated over 380 leaders and trained over 50 Facilitators across Georgia

The 13th Annual GALEO Power Breakfast Fundraiser was held on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Hilton Atlanta Northeast, and Terry D. Jackson, P.C. was again a proud sponsor. This year’s keynote address, “The Latino Vote in 2016,” was delivered by Sylvia Manzano, Ph.D. Special remarks were provided by Leri Argueta.
